Application Process
- Travellers from 49 eligible countries can access the quick and easy-to-useeVisaPlatformApply for a tourist visa online or through the Visa Office of the Immigration Department upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
- The minimum age of the applicant is 18 years old. (Minor applicants need a person over 18 years of age to act as their guardian).
- At the time of application, the passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of entry into Saudi Arabia.
- Countries with bilateral agreements (USA, UK, Korea and Japan) can apply for a visitor's visa via e-visa or visa on arrival, or through Saudi embassies and consulates.
- A multiple entry tourist visa is valid for one year from the date of issue and allows for a 90-day stay.
- For electronic visas and visas on arrival, payment must be made in Saudi Riyals using an international credit or debit card.
- Overstay fee: SAR 100 per day of overstay when the visa expires without leaving Saudi Arabia. No refund is possible in case of rejection. Visa fees are non-refundable.
- US, UK or Schengen (business or tourist) visa holders are eligible for a visa on arrival; the visa must be used at least once and have an entry stamp from the issuing country.
- Permanent residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union are eligible for visas on arrival.
- In most cases the time required to issue an electronic visa is between 5 and 30 minutes.
