The annual meeting of the Biophysical Society will be held soon. This meeting focuses on the latest advances in biophysics research. The main goal of the meeting is to attract researchers who are early in their scientific careers and to enhance their training in biophysics by allowing them to learn key techniques and major topics from experienced researchers. The conference will include lectures, discussions. In recent years, the combination of new imaging techniques, genetics, and computational biology has provided an integrated framework to explore biophysical phenomena at hitherto unattainable resolutions. It will discuss recent advances and new mechanisms emerging in the field of developmental biophysics in several model organisms, and will also extend to developmentally relevant contexts such as tissue regeneration and tumorigenesis.
