According to the FNP Economic Study, Brazil has approximately 251 million hectares of arable land, of which 66 million hectares (26%) are devoted to crops and 185 million hectares (74%) to pasture. In addition, Brazil's reliance on regular rainfall, abundant solar energy and the earth's nearly 12% of fresh water has created favorable conditions for the development of agribusiness, which is now one of the main drivers of the Brazilian economy.
