With the development of the economy, the Vietnamese government is paying more and more attention to the investment in medical institutions. However, this ideal is encountering the development "bottleneck" of low level of medical equipment development and production. According to a recent report in Vietnam's "Material Newspaper", due to the poor foundation, Vietnam's medical equipment productivity is insufficient, especially physiotherapy equipment, surgical laser functional rehabilitation equipment and other highly modernized medical equipment accounted for only 5% of domestic medical equipment production, and the technical performance is far inferior to foreign imports. The Ministry of Health of Vietnam holds an encouraging and welcoming attitude towards high-quality foreign medical equipment. According to the relevant regulations, about 40 kinds of medical equipment products imported by the Vietnamese government and the Vietnamese import enterprises to apply for approval. The rest of the products can be traded freely without approval. Medical devices are encouraged to be imported and the import tariff is only 0-8%. Some Chinese enterprises who entered first have found Vietnamese agents and set up offices in Hanoi or Saigon, and their products are sold throughout Vietnam. Chinese products are more competitive than European and American products in terms of performance to price ratio.

Five exhibitions will be held at the same time, Vietnam International Medical and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition, Vietnam International Pharmaceutical and Packaging Exhibition, Vietnam International Hospital Equipment Exhibition, Vietnam International Ophthalmology Exhibition, Vietnam International Dental Exhibition.
